An invitation to be part of LambEx 2012

It is with pleasure that on behalf of the Australian lamb industry I extend an invitation to you to be part of LambEx - during two days in June 2012. The LambEx phenomenon began two years ago in Perth, when industry gathered together producers, processors researchers, wholesalers, exporters and key service providers, to celebrate all things lamb.

LambEx is like the Brownlow for the sheep industry, only more. It is most certainly an opportunity to celebrate and recognise those within our industry for the contributions they have made, but it is also a feast of lamb industry thinking, knowledge, planning, innovation and inspiration.

It is our mission to ensure that as a delegate to LambEx, you are entering into a culture that makes you even more proud (if that is possible) to be a lamb producer. You will enjoy the friendships and networking, be inspired by the information on offer and you will go home with a mission to work together to achieve even greater heights for this industry.

In convening LambEx 2012 we must acknowledge the flexibility of the BESTWOOL/BESTLAMB network – that offered to give up its space on the events calendar in order to make way for what is essentially a once-off for Bendigo.

May I commend to you this excellent program of events that is LambEx. An extensive trade show combines with a speaking program that is a remarkable collaboration of researchers (with particular thanks to the Sheep CRC); processors and farmers of note – all of whom have something of value to share. And, I have no doubt that the AWI Grandslamb Dinner on the evening of June 28 will be a true celebration of all things lamb.
